I think the reason the Arishok fell flat for me largely came down to Wonderful I Like Cat Chonk Vintage Shirt the absurd degree of his heel turn. Going from “disgruntled but willing to try and see it through peacefully” to “legit murdering civilians who look at him wrong” in an instant deeply undermines the attempts to build him up as a more morally ambiguous character. I personally am not a fan of explaining away gameplay oversights and reoccurring dungeons on Varric. I also would have liked some more image-based consequences, but I’m sure it would lead to the Mage playthrough being drastically different from the other classes, which would incentivize people to play that one class over the Wonderful I Like Cat Chonk Vintage Shirt others. Ah, thanks. I must have misinterpreted something since I thought it was leading you in that direction but then it by the end of the questline. That makes that one feel more earned then.
