Today I have randomly gifted a box of old shaving gear from an Official Fishing Reel Cool Papa Shirt family member who found it in a friend’s barn. They didn’t want or need it at all and were going to sell it if I didn’t take it. I’m a working-class guy, don’t/can’t spend much money on the hobby, and I was just excited to have a few pieces for the shave den. Much to my surprise, it ended up being an AWESOME collection of razors and brushes! Even a few packages of blades. I wasn’t expecting much, certainly nothing super usable, BUT I ended up pulling a Gillette Fatboy Executive d-3 out of the batch pretty much right away.Feels like a seriously once in a lifetime happenstance so I figured I had to Official Fishing Reel Cool Papa Shirt share it with folks who can appreciate how excited I am. Holy smokes, what a day! Well, the biggest treasure here is the long gold one, pretty sure that’s a Gillette Big Boy NEW De Luxe. But there’s also a number of Valet Autostrops, a few Gillette NEWs and a couple of Old Types, a Fatboy (maybe gold?) and a Slim, a 1940s American Aristocrat, a Hoffritz Slant, and others.
