I found it strange that the Cute Chihuahua Dog Sunflower American Flag Shirt acting mayor held your hand to place your home, but you don’t get to do the same. It not only would keep my town beautiful, but it also would start that connection with your residents! I feel like this is going against the core conceit of the game. It already gives oh too much control IMOThe primary pitch if the original game was “the town keeps going on and living whether you played or not”. Especially on n64 and GameCube, this was incredibly unique, it put you in a Cute Chihuahua Dog Sunflower American Flag Shirt position where you were just a small part of a bigger tapestry. It made the village feel more real and alive, that things would grow regardless of whether you planted them, a villager would move in and out regardless of how much you like them, the game just didn’t revolve around you. Assigning a villager where to live is implicitly claiming “this is my town, don’t inconvenience me” which goes against this central premise. After giving it some thought, I agree.
